Blastom! Flips the Switch

You may have seen it as a Tweet on April 4th, 2018, but Blastom! has filed to become a private corporation.

After much ado about nothing, (as in share holders, because there were none) Blastom! sent the final paperwork to the Canadian Government, complete with a signature from a Commissioner of Oaths.

"You don't get a lot of requests for this form," offered the CRA representative over the phone.

"No," I said, "I don't."

There won't be any noticeable changes in the way that Blastom! goes about its daily business. The only thing of note is that I will not be responsible to a Board of Directors, or CEO for insuring that our numbers are where they aught to be come our fiscal year end. This benefits Blastom! in two ways;

1) New businesses rarely turn a profit within the first two years

2) It allows us the time that we need to ensure that each project gets the attention it deserves. In turn, this ensures better apps and happier customers - which is what we want.
